SilverLakes Board of Directors
SilverLakes and its 39 sub-associations are incorporated Homeowners Associations, governed by Florida Statute 720, and the individual Association’s governing documents. The SilverLakes Homeowners Association is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors.
Community Representation
To ensure equal representation for a community this size, the community is divided into 7 groups. Each group is represented by an elected member of one of the group’s communities. This representative sits on the SilverLakes Community Association Board. Six of the groups represent the 39 sub-associations, with the additional group representing the commercial parcels found within SilverLakes.
Each resident of SilverLakes is also a member of a sub-association. There are 2 types of sub-associations within SilverLakes:
- Neighborhood - Is a separately incorporated Association within SilverLakes, with its own exclusive amenities, maintenance assessments, and covenant restrictions
- Benefited Neighborhood - Is a sub-association with no exclusive amenities. The maintenance assessments and covenant restrictions are done through SilverLakes
