The Salvation Army
For ten years, the SilverLakes Community Association has held a community garage sale event benefitting The Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center right here in South Florida. This local program is dependent solely on area-wide community support, and the generosity of our community directly supports their mission.
The mission of the Salvation Army Rehabilitation program is to provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and spiritual counseling to the Broward County needy who turn to them for help. Many come to the Salvation Army with just the clothes on their back, and generous donations from the SilverLakes Community Association helps make sure their needs are taken care of until they are ready to move back into society with new hope and skills to meet the world head on.

On behalf of the Salvation Army, we would like to extend our gratitude to The Silver Lakes Community for allowing us to be part of your annual community garage sale. We are so thankful and appreciative for the opportunity to be able to serve your community year after year. This year, through your donations we were able to collect 3 full trucks on Saturday and 5 full trucks on Sunday. These donations will be used to provide support to the men in our adult rehabilitation program working so hard to rebuild their lives.
