Commemorative Cove
The Commemorative Cove officially opened on September 3rd at the SilverLakes Community Park! "We are happy to announce the opening of a new area within the SilverLakes Community Park: The SilverLakes Commemorative Cove. It is an area dedicated to acknowledging the environmentally dedicated effort made to reclaim a desolate strip mining limestone quarry and turn it into the beautiful neighborhood that SilverLakes is today. The area will remind everyone that it is up to us, the residents of SilverLakes, to continue this legacy. We should strive to keep our grounds, parks, and lakes pristine and to preserve the Waterfowl Habitat Designation that was awarded to SilverLakes by the State of Florida Bureau of Mine Reclamation in 1999." Robert Garcia, SilverLakes Master Board President THANK YOU
to Pines Property Management, Everglades Environmental Care Inc., and Caro Electric, Inc. for their invaluable assistance on this project! |
