Pets in SilverLakes
Did you know that SilverLakes residents are permitted to have three (3) domesticated pets per household? For more information on pets in SilverLakes, please refer to this document or refer to pages 199-200 of the Declaration and Protective Covenants, which can be found here.
If you believe you pet has come into contact with a harmful substance, please go to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center or call (888) 426-4435 immediately.
- Dogs must be on a leash.
- Residents must pick up after pets.
- Pit Bulls are not permitted.
- The term “pit bull dog” as used within this subparagraph shall refer to any dog which exhibits those distinguishing characteristics which: (A) substantially conform to the standards established by the American Kennel Club for American Staffordshire Terriers or Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and American Bull Dogs; or (B) substantially conform to the standards established by the United Kennel Club for American Pit.”

Curbing Your PetsWe love pets in SilverLakes, but please be a good neighbor and pick up after your pet when walking in your neighborhood! Not only is it the right and polite thing to do, it's the law: Broward County Animal Care and Regulation Ordinance, Chapter 4, Sec. 4-8.
